A man confronts fatherhood and his past while pinned beneath a fallen vehicle.

28 - 35 yrs old
Hugh, brusque and rough around the edges is becoming his father (perhaps unwillingly), a bigot and racist. Ironically, he is a single father of a half-Asian son. Hugh spends time drinking beer in his garage and demonstrates a dissatisfaction with life in general.
JAKE
Supporting
Male 1/2 Caucasian 1/2 Asian
8 - 11 yrs old
Jake is cute and immediately likable but with low self esteem. He is likely self-sufficient and desperately seeks his father’s approval. Perhaps he has vindictive streak.
KIM
Supporting
Female Asian
16 - 18 yrs old
Jake’s mother, at least in birth. Hugh’s girlfriend, at least long enough to become pregnant and give birth to Jake. Whether a trollop or dissatisfied, she is caught cheating.
HUGH'S DAD

Burly, he spends more time with the boys at a bar after a day on the construction site. He has a rough exterior and intolerant attitude.
